Andrew Awalt is a fine art and photojournalistic photographer from San Antonio Texas. He first picked up a camera in middle school to take pictures of his friends on their skateboards. He went on to earn a BA in Art from Austin College and a Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. He was a professional videographer for network affiliates in San Angelo, Lake Charles, Tallahassee and Tucson. He finds inspiration in the natural world and has pursued several extended documentary projects. As an educator Andrew has passed along his passion for photography and art to students from kindergartners to university students.
